Hi, I’m Nina, a graduate from the University of Nottingham, with a First class Masters degree in Product Design and Manufacture. A career in design has always been an ambition of mine, as it combines my greatest interests of science and art. I love how it enables me to logically work through challenging problems whilst also allowing me to express my creative nature.

Sustainability is a big drive for me in design and my personal life. I believe even the small decisions have a great impact in the world. My major project focused on helping young people expand their knowledge on how to care for indoor plants. A big part of my development was based around ensuring the solution is sustainable.

Design is a huge part of my life and away from my work I love to up-cycle and design clothes and create music. During the first national lockdown in March 2020, I learnt how to sew, having never done this before. I’m now designing clothes and soft furnishings that I present on my Instagram page @nem_creative. I love the challenge of transforming an old piece of clothing or fabric into something new and useable. I always have a great sense of pride when I see one of my completed creations.

I am hard-working and focussed, which has allowed me to achieve a first in all years of my university degree as well as high grades at school. I hope that my work ethic will help me to learn, grow and succeed in my future product design career. I love being part of a team and would relish any role that allows me to expand my knowledge and develop a broad range of skills.
